Ars Oblita is a solo GM-less journal game. Draw magic circles, find out they work or not, and try to explain how magic circle works.

Start from a use of the magic - from casting a huge fireball to burn a pot of water, you choose what it should do. Draw the magic circle, then roll the dice to get the world's response. Write about it, write about your ideas on why or why not the magic circle works.

But I have no idea how magic circle works!

Exactly - the game is all about trying to spot pattern from randomness. Try your best to explain the results, and believe me, you will get some interesting observations.

The Aspects

• 1-4 players - the game is designed to be played solo, but discussing the magic with several more players won't hurt at all
• No preparation or GM - grab a pen and some papers, and you are good to go
• Spot patterns in randomness - try your best to find out some patterns, and become a true mage
